The ongoing Russia-Ukraine war is not going to affect Indian students, Indian Embassy in Moscow said on Friday.
Indian authorities in that country does not see any security threat for Indian students as of now.
The embassy issued an advisory, which said that it has been receiving messages from Indian students in universities in Russia seeking advice on their continued stay in the country.
The communique added, “The Embassy would like to reassure all students that at present, we see no security reasons for them to leave. The Embassy is in regular contact with relevant authorities with respect to the safety and security of the Indian nationals, including students.”
There was apprehension among the students after certain disruption of banking services in Russia and direct flight connectivity from Russia to India have been reported.

The advisory further read a number of universities informed the embassy that they have already shifted to the online distance learning mode.
Authorities asked students to exercise their discretion in appropriate course of action regarding continuation of their academic activities without disruption.
Meanwhile, banking services in Russia have experienced some disruptions following the imposition of sanctions on the country by the US and other western countries after its military action against Ukraine.
