Hello Winter

Hello Winter A poem by Sudha Mukhopadhyay

Hello Winter A poem by Sudha Mukhopadhyay

There seems to be a change in the weather,
It’s the movement of the wind that I hear,
The flowers are abloom here and asunder,
Making the place look vibrant with colours and cheer.

Hello hello friends,  winter is finally here,
The days are shorter and nights blissfully longer,
With cool winds blowing and giving us the chill,
Let’s go for an outing and enjoy to the fill.

I believe that you will truly continue to enrich your life,
If you approach it with a sense of wonder and delight,
And try to  always challenge your own goodself,
By trying to do new things for one’s own good health.

You may now be in the autumn of your life,
But age is just a number –  please recognise,
So dream your dreams cos this is paradise,
This is what has for long been my rhetorical device.

Why don’t you just start writing a blog,
Or playing a board game with friends and all?
Create an art by painting what you draw,
Or sketch with pencil, ink, charcoal or chalk.

Enjoy the warm coffee or a hot cup of tea,
Or make it an occasion for a milk chocolaty,
Just try to hum a song and make it funny,
This should be the principal for everyone globally

Just be joyful and do good to one another,
So this winter let’s make our life simpler,
The flowers are abloom here and asunder,
Making the place look vibrant with colours and cheer.
