There were also many in India who took a jibe at people tweeting karma and Modi government. One of them is a Member Parliament, Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena. Indian-origin truckers seem sharply divided over the trucker protests in Canada. Truckers of Indian origin have chosen to either join this demonstration, which has largely been peaceful, or they have chosen to stay out of it believing the protest to have been hijacked by right-wing interests.

The country’s truckers have driven their trucks–loosely named the Freedom Convoy–into the capital city Ottawa, blocking roads forcing the Canadian PM to flee the capital along with his family. Coming days are hard for the Trudeau government fighting COVID as well as protesters.
