Come & be a part of Telangana’s growth story, KTR to Indian diaspora
Industries minister KT Rama Rao made an appeal to the Indian diaspora in the US to invest in Telangana to make the state progress further.
In an address to the Indian-American Diaspora Meet and Greet programme held San Jose, which he attended, he urged them to become a part of Telangana’s growth story.
KTR launched the ‘Mana Vooru – Mana Badi’ portal and appealed to the diaspora to become a part of the Mana Ooru – Mana Badi initiative by contributing through the portal
Highlighting the development initiatives of the state government, he said the government was massively upgrading educational infrastructure in the state.
“From the core of my heart, I want you to become a part of Telangana’s government’s novel initiative to strengthen the education sector in the state,” he said.
. Under the initiative, the state government is developing 26,000 schools with a budget of more than Rs7,200 crore.
Further trumpeting the state’s growth, he said seven years ago, he had introduced the new-born state of Telangana.
“Today, I feel happy and proud to introduce ‘Triumphant Telangana’ to you all,” he added.
.He highlighted the ‘rapid development’ in the state since its formation in 2014. He pointed out that per capita income was Rs 1.24 lakh when the state came into being seven years ago.
It has grown by 130 per cent and reached Rs 2.78 lakh in a span of seven years now, he added.
