Nagaland
Known for its distinctive tribes, this picturesque state borders Myanmar. To enter the area, however, requires an Inner Line Permit for all Indian nationals. You can obtain the permit via the internet or by contacting the deputy commissioners in Kolkata, Kohima, New Delhi, Dimapur, Shillong, and Mokokchung.
Mizoram
home to several indigenous tribes, is bordered by Bangladesh and Myanmar. To enter Mizoram, one must obtain an Inner Line Permit, which is available via Mizoram government liaison officers.
