Gulf’s “Dil Se Desh Tak” Poetry Festival Mesmerises with Hindi Verses

Khwabgaah organises Gulf’s Poetry Festival, “Dil Se Desh Tak.”

Bahrain’s renowned literary organisation, Khwabgaah: House of Dreams, captivated audiences once again as it successfully presented the second season of its annual poetry festival, “Dil Se Desh Tak.” The festival, held under the patronage of the Indian Embassy, showcased the beauty and power of Hindi poetry. Mrs. Anupam Ramesh Kinger, the esteemed founder of Khwabgaah, orchestrated the poetry session with meticulous coordination and artistic flair.

Over the past five years, Khwabgaah has solidified its position as a prominent cultural force in Bahrain. The organisation’s repertoire includes three houseful theatrical plays, namely “Main, Noor Bano,” “Ram Rattan Hazir Ho,” and “Zill-e-Tabaahi.” In addition, they have organised an impactful awareness event titled “I Do Not Love Plastic” and produced 28 audio stories, all available on YouTube. Furthermore, Khwabgaah has staged an impressive total of 20 live poetry sessions, fostering a vibrant literary atmosphere in the region.

The Gulf’s poetry festival, “Dil Se Desh Tak,” aims to keep the flame of Hindi literature alive and thriving. The esteemed guests of honour for the event were HE Ambassador Mr. Piyush Srivastava and Madam Mrs. Monika Srivastava, who graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. The programme commenced with a warm welcome speech delivered by Mrs. Anupam Ramesh Kinger, setting the tone for an evening filled with poetic enchantment. A ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony followed, officiated by the Second Secretary Political and the invited poets, symbolising the illumination of creativity and wisdom.

For approximately one and a half hours, the mesmerising programme, “Dil Se Desh Tak,” featured 12 exceptional Indian poets from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. These talented poets recited their original Hindi compositions, weaving an intricate tapestry of emotions, patriotism, and cultural expression. The auditorium resounded with applause and appreciation from the captivated audience, reflecting the deep impact and resonance of the poets’ words.

The honoured poets invited to participate in this poetic celebration were Mr. Tufail Ahmad, Mrs. Simmi Kumari, Mrs. Sneha Dev, Mrs. Nazneen Ali, Mrs. Anu Bafna, Dr. Nitin Upadhye, Mrs. Lalita Misra, Mr. Avdhesh Rana, Mr. Shabbir Husain Munawer, Mrs. Pallavi Jain, Mrs. Rupa Bhargava, and Mrs. Danish Rizvi. Each poet showcased their unique style and perspective, enthralling the audience with their heartfelt verses and thought-provoking themes.

The poetic recitations reached a crescendo as Mrs. Anupam Ramesh Kinger, the visionary founder of Khwabgaah, delivered an enthralling Hindi poem that left a lasting impact on everyone present. As the program drew to a close, the absence of HE Ambassador Mr. Piyush Srivastava was compensated by the felicitation conducted by Second Secretary Political, Mr. Ijaz. With deep respect and admiration, Mr. Ijaz presented the poets with well-deserved mementos, acknowledging their immense talent and contribution to the evening’s success. The programme garnered high acclaim, earning the event great respect and admiration from all in attendance. Mrs. Anupam Ramesh Kinger graciously concluded the programme with a heartfelt thank-you note, expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests, the talented poets, and the enthusiastic audience. The poetry session spanned an enchanting one and a half hours, captivating the more than 200 guests who were present. Engrossed and enthralled, viewers experienced the magic of the “Dil Se Desh Tak” poetry session, leaving them with a renewed appreciation for the power of words and the depth of Indian culture.
