Indian-origin Canadian national Yousef Sheikh is going to invest in Bollywood.

Indian-origin Canadian Yousef Shekh ready to make splash with ‘Rabia & Olivia

Sheikh has plans to do that through his company Synchron Entertainment which has a presence in Canada, Saudi Arabia, and India for close to one-and-a- a-half decade.

If all goes according to plan, the company is all set to release its first feature film ‘Rabia & Olivia’ in April.

So far, the film has largely been shot in India and Canada. It has won 13 awards at major international film festivals.

The film is presented by G. Ashok, director of Bhumi Pednekar starrer horror thriller ‘Durgamati’ and the superhit South Indian saga Bhaagamathie.

Shadab Khan directed movie revolves around the life of Rabia, an illegal immigrant in Canada, and an emotionally-strained nine-year-old Canadian child Olivia, who lost her mother to cancer.

The film is a human drama that speaks about women-empowerment. It presents a mix of eastern and western culture.

Zeba Javed who is the Women Empowerment Ambassador of Saudi Arabia and has been advocating for women’s empowerment is an associate producer of the ‘Rabia & Olivia’.

Besides, Tamara Gazzaz, Saudi Media Businesswoman is the co-producer of the film.

Sheikh said he wanted to focus on unique content.

He wants to associate himself with five international films in India, Canada, and Saudi Arabia for 2022-23 in association with the Ministry of Culture and the ministry of Media of Saudi Arabia and Canada.

Sheikh said he wanted to focus on a good and progressive story that will grab the audiences’ attention.

“Our idea is to go ahead with the release of Rabia and Olivia soon. We hope that the strong content will get many takers and be popular among audiences, who usually love to watch such an emotional theme,” Sheikh said.
