Noted International Book Fest To Be Held In Bahrain This Year

The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, along with DC Books, is organising an international book fair and cultural festival from November 10th to 20th, 2022, at the BKS DJ Hall, said BKS President Mr. Radhakrishna Pillai and Mr. Varghese Karakkal in a press conference held on November 8th, 2022, at BKS. The BKS DC Book Fair and Cultural Fest will be officially opened on November 10, 2022. Anvar Ali, a well-known author, will kick off the BKS DC International Book Fest on November 10 at 8 p.m. Mr. Ijhas Aslam, the Second Secretary, Embassy of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, will be the guest of honour.

Renowned national and international authors, literary personalities, and cultural icons like Shashi Tharoor, Karan Tapar, Anand Neelakantan, Alphonse Kannamthanam, M. Mukundan, Jose Panachippuram, Jose Annakutty Jose, Siju Wilson, etc. will all be participating at the book fair and cultural festival. H. E. Piyush Srivastava, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, also consented to attend the Book Fest.

A wide range of literary works like fiction, non-fiction, novels, short stories, poems, self-help, management, cookery, etc. published by well-known publishing houses like Penguin, Harper Collins, Hachette, Scholastic, Oxford University Press, DC Books, Olive, Current Books, Sankeerthanam, Mathrubhumi, Malayala Manorama, and many more will be available. A special section has been arranged for children’s books, which will include a wide range of books in classics, folklore, adventures, comics, etc.

“A virtual conversation with the famous Indian writer Shri Amish Tripati will be one of the main attractions of this year’s Book Fest,” said BKS Literary Secretary Mr. Firoz Thiruvathra.

According to Book Fest Convenor Smt. Shabini Vasudev, the BKS DC International Book Fest will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., from November 10, 2022, to November 20, 2022, at the BKS Diamond Jubilee Hall. Daily attractions such as cultural shows, interactions with guests, dramas, etc. are planned to entertain the visitors.
