Roll Ball is a game played between two teams. Roll Ball is played on “ROLLER SHOES”. Each team consists of 12 (Twelve) players, 6(six) on the field and 6(Six) in reserve. The main objective of the game is to score maximum goals within a stipulated time. The main feature of Roll Ball is that the ball is held in single or both the hands, even when passing on to the other players, and is repeatedly bounced on the ground.

This new India-Born game now played in almost all the countries of the world has increasingly become popular among the school and college students. This game will help the students / players to Interact & exchange their Cultural values and views with their international counterparts. It will also create a sense of unity and brotherhood between them.

It is certainly not an easy task to introduce a NEW GAME in to the main-Flow of the sports world. Roll Ball on the contrary has cut across the borders into the hearts of the people. It is refreshing to see the THRILL and the JOY, and the INVOLVEMENT and the FIERCE COMPETITIVE SPIRIT on the faces of the players who played the game.

ROLL BALL, a fast growing sport of the century now has spread its wings throughout the world. It has received attention of various people in the sports fraternity and applauds from the people. Roll Ball has now become the heart throb of the youth. The game is now being played in more than 50 countries spread across 5 continents.

Roll Ball was invented by a sports teacher of MES Balshikhshan Mandir School Mr. Raju R. Dabhade in Pune-Maharashtra, on 2nd Feb 2003. In the year 2001-2002 he studied about the origin of the different games and developed the game of Roll Ball and the Rules & Regulations were framed.

The game was officially launched on 2nd Feb 2003. Then the game spread across the schools, and Inter School Competition were held in Maharashtra. All the Districts in Maharashtra registered there District Association, and Inter Districts Competitions were organized at State Level. At National Level Roll Ball game was introduced and other State Association registered with the affiliation from RBFI and National competitions were held. Neighbouring countries too introduced the game and started organizing Invitation Matches by forming National Federation and register it officially under the IRBF.

Presently 28 States and 3 Union Territories of India are affiliated to Roll Ball Federation of India (RBFI) which is solely responsible for promoting Roll Ball in India. Roll Ball operates globally under the aegis of International Roll Ball Federation (IRBF). More than 50 Nations across 5 Continents are poised to be as Members as their respective country federations with IRBF.

How to play?
Roll Ball is a game played between two teams. Roll Ball is played on “ROLLER SKATES”.
Each team consists of 12 (Twelve) players, 6(Six) on the field and 6(Six) in reserve.
The main objective of the game is to score maximum goals within a stipulated time.
The main feature of Roll Ball is that the ball is held in single or both the hands, even when passing on to the other players, and is repeatedly bounced on the ground.

This game is played on any hard surface indoor or outdoor in rectangular 40m X 20m play field including ice.
Generally duration of one game shall be consist of 2 halves 25 minutes, 10 minutes Rest and 25 minutes.
Roll Ball is played on hard surface (Concrete /Tar/ Wooden) or Ice surface.
