THE SOCIETY OF POETS
WORDSWORTH wandered lonely as a cloud,
When all at once he saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils.
FROST said the woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But he had promises to keep,
And miles to go before he could sleep.
KEATS was happy with Dryad of the trees,
Of beechen green, and shadows numberless,
Which sang of summer in full-throated ease.
“Helen, thy beauty is to me” he swore,
“Like those Nicéan barks of yore”,
This is the tribute of EDGAR ALAN POE.
MILTON in the Morning of Christ’s Nativity,
Said that he our deadly forfeit should release,
And with his Father work us a perpetual peace.
PERCY saw fountains mingle with the river,
And the rivers with the ocean,
The winds of heaven mix for ever,
With a sweet emotion.
“Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night,”
This is the contrast that dominates,
As projected by WILLIAM BLAKE.
Lone in the light of that magical grove,
SAROJINI NAIDU felt the stars of spirits of Love
Gather and gleam round her delicate youth,
And she heard the song of the spirits of Truth.
I am an aficionado of these great poets,
Their writing has many an amazing secrets,
So I would like to tell in full and clear legits,
That I give them for my writings all the credits.
