Vaidya Jayant Deopujari, Chairman of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the HSSC Sub Council on Ayush, emphasized the Government of India’s and the Ministry of Ayush’s commitment to internationalizing Indian traditional medicine during a noteworthy event held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.

The convocation event recognized the certification of students in several Ayurvedic professions, including Ayurvedic Dietician and Yoga Therapy Assistant, emphasizing the importance of “skilling, upskilling, and reskilling” as a key component in the global dissemination of these age-old techniques. This convocation was organized by the Healthcare Sector Skill Council and NCISM as a way to recognize and celebrate individuals who have mastered various Ayush disciplines. These recently qualified individuals, who hold certifications for positions ranging from cupping therapists to panchakarma technicians, represent India’s rich medical history and are set for international recognition.

This occasion highlighted the vital role that qualified individuals play in bridging the gap between traditional Indian medicine and modern healthcare needs, in addition to celebrating their accomplishments.
