A WONDERFUL CELEBRATION OF THE VICTORIAN INDIAN COMMUNITY

The Consulate General of India in Melbourne collaborated with the Federation of Indian Associations of Victoria (FIAV) to host a cultural event that highlighted the rich Indian heritage and diversity of the Indian diaspora in Victoria through dance, art, and music.

The event, which took place on February 17, was well-attended by members of the Indian diaspora.

Many Indian community members, consular officials, and Australian politicians attended the event.

The Consul General of India in Melbourne, Dr. Sushil Kumar, the President of the Federation of Indian Associations of Victoria, Surry Soni, members of parliament Matt Fregon (Member for Ashwood), Steve McGhie (Member for Melton), Mathew Hilakari (Member for Melton), Victoria’s Leader of Opposition, John Pesutto, Victorian Multicultural Commissioner Vivian Nguyen, and many other dignitaries were in attendance.
