Draupadi Murmu has become a reason for the nation to be proud as she represents the hopes and aspirations of millions of tribal people in India, which has come true.
She has defeated Yashwant Sinha to become 15th President of India.
She was born on 20th June, 1958 in the state of Odisha. Residents in Murmu’s hometown of Rairangpur, Odisha, are already rejoicing. They have made 20,000 sweets. Following the announcement of the results, a tribal dance and victory procession are planned.
She completed her education from Ramadevi Women’s University. Her Parents are Biranchi Narayan Tudu. She has a child, Itishri Murmu. She is a seasoned politician and a member of Bhartiya Janata Party. She has served as the 9th Governor of Jharkhand.
The National Democratic Alliance has fielded her as the presidential candidate in the 2022 election, which she won with a huge margin.
The President-elect will take oath on July 25th, after President Ramnath Kovind’s tenure ends.
