Exclusive: Kerala Launches CSpace, India’s First Government-Owned OTT Platform

The goal is to provide curated content for around Rs. 75 or less. Pay-per-view is used to view films, shorts, and other content. CSpace will be managed by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation.

According to Shaji N. Karun, film director and chairman of the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC), “CSpace is a platform to respond to the numerous obstacles and widening challenges within the OTT industry about the distribution and choice of content.”

C-Space Vision:

The goal of launching CSpace is to promote Indian culture, heritage, and value via the digital medium. It is a platform that provides a space where the content reflects the richness of history, art, literature, and tradition. It will not feature any false or overrated films or content. They will include special films or content. CSpace seeks to provide valuable information, documentation, educational content, or films to its audience.

Furthermore, CSpace is more trustworthy because it is transparent at all stages, from overall earnings to revenue sharing. It’s all visible.

A curated panel of 60 experts, including eminent cultural personalities from the state such as Benyamin, OV Usha, and Santhosh Sivan from the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC), will review the content submitted to the platform. A panel of three members will review each piece of content and decide whether to submit it to the special CSpace OTT.

The curator panel has already selected 42 pieces of content for the first phase. These 42 contents include 35 feature films, 6 documentaries, and one short film. These are the special films that have received national recognition, been screened at major film festivals, and so on.

CSpace will be available for public streaming starting today. It’s available for both Android and iOS. You can download and watch the content for 75 rupees or less.

Cspace Fee Criteria:

As previously stated, CSpace is based on a pay-per-view model. Users must pay 75 rupees to watch a fill or less for a quick fill. You do not need to purchase a subscription, such as Netflix or Prime. You can pay for the film whenever you want to see it.

Furthermore, half of the audience’s payment will go directly to the creator. The CSpace OTT platform operates completely transparently.
