Footprints of the Fiery Wind

The summer blazed like burning sand,
On the path where your footprints faded,
Along the jagged shore of forgetting
I remain—a hollow image, alone.
In the whispered secrets of the wind,
Your name melted and scattered like dust,
Like scars that were never meant to be erased,
My mind keeps charring, piece by piece.
The words you once left unspoken
Now flow as trails of fire
Through the burning stream of my heart’s rain,
As the green leaves of memory lie darkened.
In the fiery downpour of the day,
Wandering blind in search of fading sights,
Soaked, I walked through shadowed ways—
But even there, you were no more.
Still, to forget this scorched time
With the smile of a single blooming flower,
I will need another life—
Like a burning drift on an unknown river.
