Jail at Yerawada, Pune, Maharashtra
One of the biggest prisons in South Asia, Yerawada Jail, is important to Indian history. Constructed by the British Government in 1871, it served as a residence for notable advocates of freedom, including Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
