Know It All here: India Is Announcing A Stop To The Abuse Of Antibiotics.

Antimicrobial resistance is getting worse due to overuse of antibiotics, according to experts, and this is killing patients.

India is taking strong action against antibiotic misuse. The health ministry has requested that physicians who prescribe antibiotics provide a justification for their actions. One of the primary causes of the rise of drug-resistant bacteria is the misuse and overuse of antibiotics. Since there aren’t many novel antibiotics being developed right now, the only way to stop the emergence of resistance is to use antibiotics.

The nation’s medical colleges serve as centers for the training of the next generation of physicians in addition to offering postsecondary healthcare. Because of this, it is crucial that medical college faculty members serve as role models for the next generation of medical professionals, who will have to deal with this crisis in a much more dire way. “If you take an antibiotic when you have a viral infection, the antibiotic attacks bacteria in your body,” the statement reads. These are beneficial bacteria or microorganisms that do not spread illness. Innocent bacteria may subsequently develop antibiotic-resistant traits as a result of this improper treatment, which they can then spread to other bacteria. Alternatively, it may provide a chance for potentially dangerous germs to take the place of the benign ones.
