This Is How the World Celebrated “Pran Pratishtha”
The completion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has triggered celebrations among Indians in the US and globally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended an enthusiastic and reverent ceremony in Ayodhya.
In a unique display of devotion, the Indian diaspora in New York illuminated the Times Square region with images of the Lord, showcasing their deep love for the deity.
Similar events were planned around the world to mark the “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony at the Ram Mandir.
According to reports, people in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco lined up to witness the ceremony. highlighting the charisma of the Ram Temple. Live feeds of the consecration ceremony were shown on large billboards with images of Indian epic characters.
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) reported that Arizona and Missouri also participated in the visual celebration. Contributing to over 40 billboards in ten states that display messages about the grand ceremony in Ayodhya.
To commemorate the occasion, the Hindu American community held car rallies and other events across the United States. Alok Kumar, VHP’s international president, emphasised the significance of the moment, saying, “Today, there are no words to say. The pain of 25 generations, the challenges, struggles, and sacrifices that led to the construction of Ram Mandir and Lord Ram’s pran pratishtha,” highlights the temple’s history.
Prime Minister Modi held a grand ceremony in Ayodhya to inaugurate the Ram Mandir. The global impact of this event was evident when people in Mauritius lit diyas at temples and recited the Ramayana Path, demonstrating their shared values of reverence for Lord Ram. On January 22, the Mauritian government announced a two-hour special break for Hindu public observances.
United Kingdom
Temples throughout the United Kingdom participated in the grand celebrations for the Ayodhya event. Around 250 Hindu temples across the country expressed their enthusiasm for the “Pran Pratistha” ceremony at the Ram Mandir. The Indian diaspora in the United Kingdom organised a car rally in London, with attendees chanting “Jai Shree Ram” and singing songs praising Lord Ram.
Australia
The excitement surrounding the Ram Temple spread to Australia, where events were planned at hundreds of temples. In Sydney, the Indian diaspora organised car rallies with over 100 participants, attracting Ram Bhakts and passersby.
Nepal
Janakpurdham, Nepal, believed to be Sita’s birthplace, saw extensive celebrations in anticipation of the occasion. Events, including hymns by Lord Ram and Sita, reverberated throughout the city. The Janaki temple was decorated with lights and diyas, which added to the festive atmosphere.

German singer Cassandra Mae Spittmann’s enchanting rendition of the bhajan “Ram Aayenge” has gone viral, with over 3 lakh views and 14,000 likes. Cassandra, a German singer-songwriter who was born blind, is known for singing Indian songs in multiple languages. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised her singing on his radio show, Mann Ki Baat. The video went viral ahead of the RamMandir inauguration in Ayodhya on January 22, resonating globally and transcending cultural boundaries.
