Latest now: Case of Mr. Irudayaraj and Mr. Muthaiyan Mani

The Indian Club – Bahrain, in association with The Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation, is proud to announce that ‘The Bahrain Junior Ranking Circuit 1 – 2024’ will be held from 04th to 10thFebruary 2024 at the Indian Club premises. This Tournament will be held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Sawsan Taqawi, the President of The Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation.

It is a ‘Bahrain Junior ranking points’ event and is exclusively for eligible Bahrain residents from the age group of 5yrs to 19yrs – Boys & Girls. The tournament will feature Singles & Doubles categories.

Matches will commence from 4pm till 9pm every day at the Indian Club premises; the Grand Finals Day is set for Saturday 10th February 2024.

Mr. Irudayaraj arrived in Bahrain in 2014 with hope of building a better future. Unfortunately, his future turned into a struggle for survival. The company failed to honor the promised salary, leading to expired visas and a lost passport. For the past 8 months, he has been without job, struggling to support himself and his family.

On the other hand,

The Pravasi Legal Cell, in collaboration with Embassy of India, PLC Lawyer, and Migrant Workers Protection Society (MWPS), had stepped in to support both of them. With combined efforts, food and fine assistance were provided, and the Embassy of India extended crucial support by providing flight tickets.

Both Mr. Irudayaraj and Mr. Muthaiyan Mani expressed their gratitude to HE The Ambassador of India to Bahrain, Mr Vinod K Jacob, Embassy officials, Sudheer Thirunilath ,the president of Pravasi Legal Cell Bahrain chapter and his entire team ,MWPS, and Immigration Authorities for the invaluable help during their challenging times.We appreciate the continuous support of our Indian community .Again the Indian social workers in Bahrain proved that they can make a difference in the lives of our fellow Pravasis. Finally Mr. Irudayaraj Antonysamy and Mr. Muthaiyan Mani both have left Bahrain on 25th January and reached Chennai .
