Here Denmark Established a Green Energy Alliance with India
The new alliance, led by the Danish Embassy and the Danish Consulate General in India, is a strategic action aimed at advancing the green energy sector, including green hydrogen, by encouraging Danish and Indian diligence to introduce, unite, and form hookups.
According to A.P. Moller-Maersk, the primary goal of GFAI is to promote sustainable energy growth in India by creating an environment that encourages collaboration between Indian and Danish businesses, government associations, exploration institutes, and fiscal institutions.
Maersk, Topsoe, Umwelt Energy, Mash Makes, European Sustainable Results, Novozymes, Danfoss, Brdr. Christensen, and Hydrogen Denmark are among the nine pioneering Danish associations that have formerly joined the GFAI design as launching mates.
Meanwhile, the India Hydrogen Alliance, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras’ Energy Consortium, the Danish Energy Agency, and the State of Green are among the GFAI premonitory board members.
The GFAI advertisement coincides with India’s ambitious goal of getting carbon neutral by 2070. Denmark reportedly outgunned the global climate performance rankings in 2024 and is on track to become carbon neutral by 2050.
The GFAI exemplifies operations within the Green Strategic Partnership( GSP), which India and Denmark inked in 2020 to meet their ambitious climate commitments. Freddy Svane, Ambassador of Denmark to India, believes that such a transnational collaboration has the implicit power to significantly prop up the global green transition.
“Our earth requires action. The Tamil Nadu Investors Summit is taking place at this critical juncture. Danish companies contribute to the global green transition. I’m pleased to see the Green Strategic Partnership making special efforts to inspire India in its efforts to green its development.
The Green Fuels Alliance India is driving enterprise in the energy transition. “May our common benefactions be significant and inspiring,” Svane concluded.
According to Morten Bo Christiansen, Head of Energy Transition at Maersk, the main handicap to global shipping’s net-zero trip is a lack of affordable green energy and fuel.
India has ideal conditions for producing renewable energy and aspires to be a global leader in the green energy value chain. We’re veritably agitated to join the involved Indian and Danish stakeholders as a launching member of the GFAI, erecting on our more than 100-year business relationship with the country.”
