Indian Culture-Inspired Eternal Tree Books: New Launches in India

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. February 5, 2024. Eternal Tree Books, a renowned children’s book publisher based in the United States, is pleased to announce its expansion into India. This is an important milestone in Eternal Tree Books’ global expansion. Its books, inspired by Indian culture and heritage, are intended to introduce young readers worldwide to the richness of Indian traditions and stories.

The company values diversity and inclusion in literature. Priya Kumari, a chartered and certified public accountant who has turned to writing for children and is a mother of two, founded Eternal Tree Books. She aimed to fill a gap in American children’s literature by providing books that authentically represent Asian cultures while also promoting inner peace and mindfulness.

“Our books are more than just stories; they are bridges connecting young minds to the profound wisdom of Indian culture,” Priya Kumari, one of our authors, says. “Bringing these stories to India feels like completing a circle, returning these narratives to their cultural roots.”

Eternal Tree Books has launched three titles in India. Leaf Talks Peace: Buddha’s Message of Harmony is His Holiness’ first picture book endorsement. The Dalai Lama wrote the foreword. He described it as “a beautifully illustrated book that teaches children the importance of living in harmony with nature and with all forms of life.” My Festival Series features two books: My Diwali: Lights of Virtue and My Holi: Colours of Cheer. Legendary Indian actress Hema Malini wrote a review for My Holi, describing it as “a beautiful, educational, and entertaining children’s book about Holi.” Aside from demonstrating Holi’s connection to Mother Nature and social peace, the authors have also depicted the science behind Holi rituals in a very interesting and unique way to educate children about how Holi promotes human well-being. The book is also a finalist for the Best Book Award at the American Book Festival. My Diwali has received praise from Foreword magazine, Prof. Ved Nanda ji, and the Hindu American Foundation. Popular figures such as New York Times bestselling author Sharon Salzberg, actor Anupam Kher, and poet Arundhati Subramaniam have praised their other works. Eternal Tree Books and Priya Kumari have been featured on platforms such as News 12, TV Asia, ITV Gold, New York Weekly, The Telegraph, and the International Business Times, demonstrating the publishing house’s growing impact on diverse representation in publishing.

The books are now widely available in India, including in major bookstores and online platforms, making it easier for Indian families and educators to obtain them.
