The Amazing Madame Tussauds Wax Figure Of The Ramdev

Ramdev is a businessman, yoga guru, and brand spokesperson for Patanjali Ayurveda from India. In India, Ramdev is most known for being an advocate of ayurveda and yoga. Since 2002, Ramdev has been planning and leading sizable yoga camps and televising his yoga workshops on multiple TV networks. Along with his colleague Balkrishna, he co-founded Patanjali Ayurveda and Patanjali Yogpeeth in 2006. Ramdev has come under fire for remarks he made about ayurveda, yoga, and contemporary medicine.

Founded in 2006 by Ramdev and Balkrishna, Patanjali Ayurved is a consumer packaged goods firm with its headquarters located in Haridwar.  The business is among India’s top-grossing FMCG companies. Patanjali Ayurved reported earnings of Rs 10,664.46 crore for FY22. With 96% ownership, Balkrishna leads Patanjali Ayurved as CEO and oversees daily operations, while Ramdev acts as the company’s spokesperson and handles the majority of commercial decisions.

Through the creation and marketing of Patanjali Ayurvedic goods, Ramdev has promoted Indian nationalism in the vein of the Swadeshi movement and urged Indians to shun international brands.

Many of Ramdev’s family members have joined him in his business endeavours since they moved to Haridwar. Baba Ramdev’s rise from poverty to multibillionaire is arguably one of the most remarkable stories in the nation.

He was able to construct a clear vision of the work that lay ahead of him via deep meditation, ascetic discipline, and penance: spreading yoga and Ayurveda and reshaping India’s social, political, and economic structure.

The wax figure of yoga master Ramdev will be shown at the renowned Madame Tussauds museum in Times Square, New York, alongside more than 200 other sculptures of well-known international personalities.

On Tuesday, the wax figure was presented at a ceremony in the nation’s capital.

In addition to commemorating him, Ramdev noted in his expression of thanks that the wax figure also takes into consideration the rich cultural heritage of India. He expressed his opinion that this is a significant acknowledgement of the worldwide impact of Indian culture, particularly that of Yoga and Ayurveda.

“The honour represents the ancient spiritual wisdom of India, which is based on the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and signifies much more than my personal journey,” he stated.

The yoga master also mentioned Patanjali’s goal of having a large number of institutions offering education influenced by the Gurukul system in an attempt to instill moral principles and values that will prevent all forms of terrorism from occurring.

He expressed gratitude for the Madame Tussauds team’s meticulous attention to detail and precision in creating the wax figure, saying they were able to replicate every last hair on his body and produce a sculpture that looked lifelike.

Aside from Ramdev, the Madame Tussauds in New York City already has sculptures of Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Baba Ramdev’s dedication to society through yoga, the introduction of Ayurvedic culture, and his support of healthy living, according to Tiago Mogodouro, a senior official of Madame Tussauds New York, is a gift for all.

He continued, “It is evidence of the great influence and international applicability of his teachings.”
