The year 2025 was a landmark period for WFY – World For You.


Across continents, communities and countless personal journeys, the global Indian diaspora continued to trust WFY as a dependable voice, a platform that celebrates real people, real achievements and real issues.

As an independent publication dedicated to the Indian diaspora, WFY strengthened its reach, relevance and responsibility. From deeper reporting to stronger community engagement, every milestone this year reflects the confidence of our expanding readership and the stories they have carried to us from all parts of the world.

Here is our proud year-end milestone snapshot.

1. A Growing Global Readership

 

WFY expanded its footprint across new diaspora clusters, especially in Europe, East Africa, the Caribbean and the Gulf.

Our readership now spans 42 countries, with strong engagement from communities in:

  • The UK, US, Canada and North America
  • The Gulf region, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar
  • Singapore and Malaysia
  • Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and other African regions
  • Guyana, Trinidad and Suriname
  • Europe
  • Australia and New Zealand

This year, the magazine recorded a significant rise in organic readership and a 32% increase in reader submissions. Growth was driven by long-form diaspora journalism, cultural features and community-focused reporting.

There has also been a steady rise in comments, letters and reader feedback. Returning readership rates improved throughout 2025, and more second- and third-generation diaspora Indians joined our audience, a clear sign of WFY’s widening appeal beyond first-generation migrants.

2. Record Number of Stories Published

 

In 2025, WFY published:

  • Over 540 original stories
  • Contributions from more than 40 writers
  • Expanded coverage across world politics, culture, travel, economy, legal rights, health and personal narratives

Our editorial approach strengthened its commitment to:

  • Evidence-based diaspora reporting
  • Inclusion of regional and community voices
  • Positive storytelling that reflects the complexity of life abroad

WFY highlighted Indian-origin leaders and changemakers across:

More than 75 diaspora achievers were profiled in 2025, inspiring readers across continents with their journeys, resilience and contributions.

4. Deeper Coverage of Diaspora Issues

 

Throughout the year, WFY devoted sustained attention to:

  • Mental and emotional well-being of migrants
  • Worker rights and labour reforms in the Gulf
  • Challenges faced by international students
  • Rising financial risks and remittance concerns

Festival content this year received some of the strongest engagement across all platforms.

WFY’s digital ecosystem, website, newsletters and social platforms, showed steady year-on-year growth:

  • Returning visitors rose consistently; overall website traffic grew 18%
  • Global search visibility improved
  • Social media channels registered a stable rise in engagement
  • Community-submitted stories increased noticeably

The platform’s clean writing style and commitment to original reporting played a significant role in this upward trend.

WFY worked closely with:
