On this day, devotees take an early bath after waking up. During Pradosh Kaal, they perform an Abhishek of the Shiva Linga with milk and honey to purge their financial burden and worries. Lord Shiva is offered barley flour, sugar, and ghee.

Eight lamps are lit by devotees in each direction to guarantee the grace of the goddess Lakshmi.

The Maha Mrityunjaya mantra is sung 108 times along with Shiv puja. Chanting mantras and prayers in the evening is very important, as Pradosh Vrat is all about evening rituals.
