GROWING UP
The child in me is all grown
The fearless one in me is silent
As if there nothing to fight for
The swing that moves upwards and back
Empty, there no child, no grown ups sit
Life has emptied a wish to play as in childhood,
To go behind sparrows and butterflies
There this loud profound stillness
A canvas of colours
Seasons change along
There but no change inside
Of a thought or a question mark
On all the unanswered riddles
Shapeless a cloud moves above
Nameless shadows dance
From the silenced elements
Growing up from the slumber
A task that mattered
Sometimes it is better to wrap
Life’s thematic memories
In a less bright gift paper
Hide it away in alphabets
Of unknown language
Mist the script of earth at times
To hide even a memory..
Growing up begins
When emotions are skillfully covered
When happiness and sorrows level in egalite,
A diamond peak where mind and heart rejoice
May be, after years of turmoil
What matters more is peace
Not a crown..
