CAMPANILE

Sacred bell of a monumental tower
Stands ahead of time and memories
It is time for a candid prayer,
Or to commemorate a farewell note
In memory of a soul that is walked past life
In sounds that ricochets from the magnet
Emptiness a blessing in noisy parquets
How well the judicious mind silences
The electrifying heartbeats of a song
How effortlessly each day opens up
Not rankled on a seasonal outburst
No tears no laughter more, all set in precise poise
Tired not sedated the rhythm is complete
No rage, no discord the canopy of sky the roof
Cradle, the earth, for a while to repose
Endless the saga of wars and massacres
Fate imprints a million karmic lines in black and white
Rain cleanses all to reach a fateless vacuum
There rebounds the bell of the campanile
May be, to enchant, to bind the world
In one divine prayer.
