The Indian Diaspora Global opens its first Indian Chapter at Delhi
The Indian Diaspora is comprised of a group of Indian-origin individuals from diverse backgrounds and professions who are committed to inspiring the diaspora to be a force for good by providing a platform to collaborate, build community engagement, and catalyse social change.
Their mission is to empower the diaspora to be a force for good through a global platform to collaborate, build community engagement, and catalyse social change. Their vision is to make this world a better place by spreading the spirit of Indianism. Their focus is to help the current generation of the Indian Diaspora rediscover their roots by rekindling old relationships.
The Indian Diaspora Global was founded by Melwyn Williams, and they have a presence in 17 countries across the globe. He is the Chairman as well as the founder of the Indian Diaspora Global Movement.
The Delhi chapter was inaugurated today by the lighting of the lamp by eminent personalities present during the ceremony. Thereafter, the investiture ceremony of the Chapter was initiated first by installing and hoisting the Indian Diaspora flag.
Advocate Shaju Francis took his oath as President of the Indian Diaspora Global Delhi Chapter. The oath was administered to him by eminent lawyer and President, Global Policy & Advocacy, Indian Diaspora Global, Jose Abraham.
The Sache was put on the President by the Chairman of Indian Diaspora Global, Melwyn Williams, and the President, Global Policy & Advocacy, Indian Diaspora Global, Jose Abraham. They also handed over the Indian Diaspora Flag to Shaju Francis, President, Delhi Chapter, Indian Diaspora Global.
The dignitaries who were present and spoke during the ceremony, besides Mr. Williams and Advocate Abraham, were: entrepreneur Rajvir Singh Juneja; Chandra Shekhar Luthra, senior journalist and treasurer, Press Club of India; Advocate, Joseph Thaikkoottathil, Supreme Court of India; along with the members of the Indian Diaspora Global and guests.
The Indian Diaspora Global has initiated its own ‘Keep The Door Open’ campaign, advocating dual citizenship in India. They look forward to connecting Indian-origin people residing in various parts of the world with their roots in India.
