More about the Amazing Heartwarming Rescue and Repatriation Story

In a touching display of compassion and solidarity, Pravasi Legal Cell has successfully rescued and repatriated Mr. Udayan and Mrs. Ajitha, an elderly Indian couple abandoned in Bahrain by their own son.
The heartbreaking tale unfolds when the couple, brought to Bahrain by their son, Mr. Gokul Raj, were promised a new business venture. Mr. Gokul Raj had asked them to liquidate their assets in India and bring the money to Bahrain to start a business together. Little did they know that their son had ulterior motives.

Upon their arrival, Mr. Gokul Raj deceitfully had his sister sign some documents, establishing the business in her name without her knowledge or consent. One day, to their shock, they discovered that Mr. Gokul Raj had absconded, leaving for India and taking the hard-earned money with him.

With unpaid rent, disconnected electricity, and a missing passport, Mr. Udayan and Mrs. Ajitha found themselves in dire circumstances, struggling to even put food on the table.

Their plight came to the attention of Mr. Sudheer Thirunilath, the President of the PLC Bahrain chapter, who stepped in heroically. He tirelessly worked to arrange the necessary documentation to repatriate the distressed couple back to India.

The Muharraq Malayali Samajam also extended a helping hand by assisting with the fine amount and providing a safe place to stay along with food.

A huge shoutout to the Indian Embassy in Bahrain for their unwavering support in obtaining the necessary documents and flight tickets for the couple.

Today, with cleared documents and a glimmer of hope, Mr. Udayan and Mrs. Ajitha boarded their flight back to India.

This heartwarming success story is a testament to the incredible work of Pravasi Legal Cell, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Embassy, Muharraq Malayali Samajam, and Team PLC for their remarkable efforts.

Let’s share this inspiring story and spread the message of empathy and support for those in need. Together, we can make a difference!  #HumanityPrevails #PravasiLegalCell #HelpingHand
