Deepika Padukone Shines Amazing in A Sari

Move over, ridiculously large ball gown; hello, Sabyasachi sari.


Deepika Padukone wore a shimmering Sabyasachi gown to the BAFTAs this year and looked stunning as she walked on stage. Deepika Padukone attends Bafta. She introduced the category Film Not in the English Language and handed over the award to winner Jonathan Glazer for his film The Zone of Interest.


The actress looked stunning as she took the stage, dressed in a silver sequined saree and matching blouse by ace designer Sabyasachi.

This is not the first time Deepika has taken centre stage at an international award ceremony.

Last year, she introduced the song Nattu Nattu from the movie RRR during the Oscars ceremony.
The Zone of Interest is a UK-Polish historical drama about the Auschwitz concentration camp, based on Martin Amis’ 2014 novel of the same name.


The film competed against other films like 20 Days in Mariupol, Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives, and Society of the Snow.


Other BAFTA presenters this year included Andrew Scott, Bryce Dallas Howard, Cate Blanchett, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Daisy Edgar Jones, Daryl McCormack, Keegan-Michael Key, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Lily Collins, Marisa Abela, Rebecca Ferguson, Sheila Atim, and Taylor Russell.
